After a drive that lasted nearly one whole hour, we arrived in Rochester, MN, this past Saturday. The trip was so quick, poor Eric didn’t even get a chance to sneak in a quality car nap. Lo siento, mi amigo!
Before Monday arrived, and it was the time once again to fulfill our duties of documenting aha moments, we went through another team transition. Gary arrived to relieve his brother Glenn as crew driver. These next few weeks will be Gary’s last with the tour. Come September, Glenn will rejoin us and deliver us to Reno! Small reminders of the tour’s end, such as this, are starting to occur more often. We only have a little over 4 weeks and 7 cities left (with only 5 left by the end of this week). September 16th is going to be a melancholy day.
So with the end in sight, it’s best to enjoy every moment while it lasts!
Today we heard a great number of aha moments. The Rochester community was very excited to see us! Here are some of moments that were shared with us today:
Meet James Robertson:
My aha moment came during a program where students could talk about their own trials and tribulations. Through helping students find their voice, I was able to explore my own thoughts and beliefs and find my own voice.
Meet William Hogan:
After writing and illustrating a children’s story about my childhood dog, I donated all the proceeds to the Paws & Claws Humane Society.
Meet Eve Friedli
After I was diagnosed with an incurable cancer, I realized I could educate people about my disease. Now raising money for cancer research has become my life’s work!
That wraps up today! We’ll be out to record more aha moments starting tomorrow morning at 10am!
